superb historic gem

the location was excellent, very central. the room i stayed in was beautifully furnished with attention to detail. breakfast was great (especially the kedgeree!). the staff seemed genuinely happy, and this feeling was contagious.
i struggled a little to find where to park upon arrival. i had to stop and ask for directions to the parking area behind the building. the doors at the rear were locked due to a wedding, causing a slight inconvenience.

the building is historic and lovely. The room looked like a magazine picture! The super nice team and nothing was too much trouble, i loved it. Breakfast was delicious and the dining room was nice.
i struggled to find where to park my car upon arrival. there was a wedding. I was told the parking was behind the hotel, it took me a while to find it

The room was immaculate upon my arrival. I found plenty of drinks provided including tea coffee pods and fresh milk. Breakfast offered a plentiful choice including fruit cereals pastries and a cooked breakfast.
I struggled to find where to park the car. I was told there was no bar. I discovered the cleaner had left the vacuum cleaner inside the room.

The room was really spacious and so comfortable, it had everything i needed. breakfast was very well organised with a good range to choose from. i found the staff attentive and keen to make sure i had everything i wanted. Nothing was too much trouble. the location is fantastic, right in the heart of the city.
the reception is not open all hours.
